I recieved a call from my brother this morning that my momita was taken into the hospital last night, and is congestive heart failure, and pneumoina ( sp )
Now there is lots going on with her and my step dad..My brother, sis in law, and children surprised my parents, and got there on tuesday! :) they live in Kentucky, and with 3 small children and jobs, its not easy for them to get there..
Anyway, they were shocked with what they found. My parents had no food, and my momita was with out medication; 3 perscriptions to be exact. 3 vital meds.
i am ANGRY with my daughter and my sister. they are both there in Michigan, and my daughter is doing NOTHING to help, and is causing more trouble than my momita needs..My sister does NOTHING but mooch, or just not call, visit, or help in ANYWAY!
So the 3 of us ( brother sis in law and me ) have come up with a plan! :) we are going to find a Christian person or persons to help my parents out by like taking my stepdad to the library, and droping him off, and taking my momita to the store, or to run errands..
Neither one of them is to drive, however, momita does anyway ( with the site gone in one eye mind you! ) so we figure we will provide the money for the grocery money, and the money to pay whom ever does this..
I contacted my best friend back home, and we already have people to contact! Her momita golfs on a Christian womans golf league, and we are going to check into that, and her friend lives in the same city as my momita, so i am going to get information on her church, and make calls..
i need to go for now, gotta get ready for work..
Please keep this in prayer, and as God will for it all..
Love you all
Linni
Good luck with your plan. I said a prayer that it is successful for you and them! Reaching out to fellow Christians is a great idea! I am sorry you are so far away and cannot depend on the family that are close by them . It is sad! I hope all goes well and they get back on track with meds and such!
Friends,

Linni,
I too will pray. I hope while your brother and SIL are in town they can get connected with someone and have it all taken care of before they leave. There are churches that do meals on wheels, and I am sure there are people who would love to help. I will pray that God provides just the right connections. Another source to check into would be Angel Food Ministries. They typically deliver to churches – and you’d have to find someone to help with the pick-up and delivery, but it would help alot with food costs.
Keep us posted! I am so glad your brother and SIL decided to go for a visit. Talk about providence!

It must be so hard to be so far away from your mom and dad when things like this happen, Linni. I will be praying for God’s provision for them, as well as healing. Don’t forget where your peace comes from. (I know you won’t ;o))
Love,
Cindy
Linni,
I am praying for you and your family. I’m right here in Michigan and if there is anything I can do to help please don’t hesitate. I’m off today and don’t mind lending a hand.
Blessings,
Jacs
Linni –
It is terribly hard to be so far away and so frustrated with family that could/should be helping but aren’t. My prayers are with you and your entire family. God hears each one of our prayers for you. I will pray for doors to be opened in ways never thought possible. Don’t be afraid to rely heavily on Him so it isn’t such a burden for you.
Blessings, Tammie Jo
Dee Dee, good suggestion on the meals. You might also check into that area’s Meals on Wheels, where they do deliver to the person’s home. That should be able to be found on the internet.

Where i am weak, HE is STRONG!
Linni, I’m just now catching up from a weekend away from this site. Sorry to hear about your mom. There are alot of things your mom can do in her situation. Education upon discharge is vital. You both need to know about CHF and warning signs of relapse and to catch problems before they become bigger problems. Take care!!
