  • Not only will you have fun and make new friends, but an open house is also a great opportunity for you to make some money and is a perfect lead generator!

I ask all my vendors (handbags, gourmet, candles, jewelry, cosmetics, etc) to also invite their own guests and I let them know that I will be requesting all attendees to sign a Guest Log with their name, email and phone number. As a result, I have lots and lots of guests and my vendors have an opportunity to make money and build their business , but who gets the “big list“?, yup, me!

Last year, I had almost 200 visitors to my home in 5 hours. Not bad, eh? This allowed me to book demo after demo after demo and kept me going for the entire year (2008).  EZ

So I encourage you to pick a date NOW for your, “Holiday Open House“, invite your friends who are also involved in direct sales and help yourself (and others too!) to make for a booming business.  What’s the worst that could happen?  Perhaps that you’ll make some new friends, network for future gains and clients, make a little money and generate leads for future sales and demo’s? Not bad!

Feel free to email me directly for any questions or input, always welcomed!

    Hugs, Kelly

  • my poor leo.. and me

Posted on Friday, November 21, 2008 in Other

well its official, i have a tummy virus, couldnt go work today.. means another point.. means i could be fired or suspended for three days then fired, or.. maybe nothing.. depends on things.. lord knows what things.. mysterious things..that us peons are never sure of.

I have been in the bathroom all day and i am completely tired of it..

Leo went to vet again this morning for cleaning, we told vet that while cleaning.. do whatever needs done.. we will figure out the money when the time comes.

We pick him up in 40ish min.. called the dr.. said he ended up pulling several of leos teeth.. they were just in way to bad of shape to even clean.. they were so rotten that cleaning made them splinter.. sooooooooooooo he is gonna have several less teeth

vet said its prolly good.. if the teeth are that bad.. medicine would not help and the infections would keep going on and on and on.. so he will at least be more at ease now.. less pain.. once the gums heal up…

wont knwo the cost till we pick him up.. keep your fingers crossed!

  • While waiting in the chiropractor’s office to have him work his magic on my aching back, I thumbed through a health magazine. On the last page was a reader-written essay about the first time something new was attempted for better health. At the end was an invitation for other readers to send in their 400-word “first time” pieces. So I sent in this:

Kiai!: How Donning a Karate Gi Rejuvenated Me
    by Felicia Hodges

I’ve always been very physically active. In grade school it was kickball, tag and later, the middle school’s softball team (I played first base). As a freshman in high school, a few moths after watching my uncle in the NYC marathon, I decided to give the track team a try. I ran and jumped my way right into an athletic scholarship, seeing the US and earning a B.A. without any school loans hanging over my head after graduation.

Through career shifts, marriage, pregnancy and divorce, I kept competing. In July 2004, I retired from the sport so I could work on my master’s and still keep up with my then 11-yr-old son. A few days after I started graduate school in August, I found a pea-sized lump in my right breast.

Thanksgiving break was spent recovering from a bilateral mastectomy. In February, after watching my son do kata from the balcony of the dojo while trying to read my school assignments, I decided to take the sensei up on the offer to join the class. Since track had ended, I hadn’t even run to the refrigerator. I missed being active. I missed sweating.

And sweat, we did – thanks to the generous helpings of pushups, jumping jacks and ab work sensei dished out. At least that was familiar – unlike the stances, katas and punching/kicking drills. I felt like the world’s least coordinated person for quite a while (which sensei assured me was totally normal), but it felt really good to hit something. Plus we were encouraged to scream loudly while punching and kicking. Physically yelling while hitting a heavy bag proved to be pretty darn therapeutic – and a whole lot cheaper than psychotherapy.

Three weeks before my last radiation treatment, I entered my first competition, (I wore a hard foam protector to keep the radiated chest from getting hit). That did it: my passion for a new physical activity was ignited.

Next May, I will test for my black belt and close in on my five year “cancerversary”. Through all the physical changes breast cancer brought, karate was the one constant, proving that I may have had cancer, but cancer didn’t really have me because I could do things – very physical things – that I’d never even tried before my diagnosis. I’m so glad I donned a gi and decided to line up in the back of that class. Sweating is good for the soul.

So tell me about your  first time!

  • I just opened this up in a e-mail and wanted to share it with you all.  Just post your answer and those who already know it please don’t give it away.

    Have fun!

Are you smarter than a 5th grader???

This is a 5th grade math problem.  This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don’t say that a bus has no legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus.
    Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.

Bus driver is not in the bus at this time.

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

  • I am Debbie Mormino, The Breast Diva! I’m a Breast Health Consultant with Plexus Pink, the Breast Health Company. We need more people to earn income while helping women worldwide have healthier breasts!

A couple of years ago, I had 2 benign breast tumors.  Shortly after surgery to remove my mammary glands, I found the Plexus Pink Company and joined them as a Breast Health Consultant.  Since joining, I have learned so much about breast health and love sharing LIFE SAVING info with women worldwide! Many people haven’t been as lucky as I have been, and preventing and/or eliminating Breast Cancer is the dream of so many of us today!

There are many factors that affect our breast!  Family history, toxicity, obesity, diets,  habits; I could go on and on!

There’s a lot of controversy today about Monthly Breast Self Exams (MBSE).  Some medical authorities say women should be doing a regular monthly exam and others are now saying it can be more harmful than beneficial.

With all of the billions of dollars each year spent on Breast Cancer Awareness, more people than ever are still getting breast cancer!  Obviously, researchers haven’t come up woth anything new, or have they?

It’s hard to know the truth, isn’t it?  Many women think “taking time out my busy schedule to look for lumps in my breasts once a month is hardly on the priority list of what needs to be done in a day!”  Perhaps you feel the same way.  You may not know how to do one properly, it feels awkward and besides, who wants to be looking for trouble anyway, right?  It helps to have a GOOD, POSITIVE Attitude!

So do you need to be more “in touch” with your breasts?  I believe you do…but in a more positive and empowering way than you may have thought.  Let me explain:

If you were about to start a weight loss program, would you want to know how much you weighed and your measurements?  Of course!  That’s where you would begin your weight loss program.  Well, we offer a breast health program and the first place we encourage women to start is with them having an accurate picture of the health of their breasts.

Relax – most breast lumps are NOT cancerous and lumpy breasts are a pretty natural part of being a woman.  But by first conducting a thorough breast exam using our Breast Chek Kit which gives you sensory magnification to your fingertips and makes a breast exam super easy and accurate, you will get to know your breasts like never before.

I love my breasts and I am committed to them staying right where they belong until the day I die.  You can have the same commitment.  It’s actually fairly easy, especially when you have a whole community of women committed your breast health to help you.

Part of the 5-step breast health program we teach at Plexus Pink is to help women get to know their breasts…ositively.  Not from a place of fear but rather from a place of appreciation and acknowledgment for how amazing breasts really are.

As a Preferred Customer you can fully participate in the Plexus Pink 5-Step Program for Breast Health:

Step #1 – Give yourself a Breast Self-Exam using the Breast Check Kit – we give you one FREE with your initial purchase. This exam will help you determine the current condition of your breasts before starting the program.
Step #2 – Apply Dr. Spencer’s Breast Cream twice daily to your breasts.
Step #3 – Give yourself a weekly lymphatic breast massage – we show you how!
Step #4 – Re-check the condition of your breasts every 30 days using the Breast Chek Kit.
Step #5 – Take full advantage of our Plexus Breast Health University and learn how what you eat and even the clothes you wear impacts your breast health – and maybe even your baby’s health!

If you’d like to learn how you can do a positive, empowering and important Breast Self-Exam (BSE) as the first step in our 5-Step Program for breast health, please go to www.thebreastdiva.com now and watch our 4 minute video on the products page.  To find out how you can have your own Breast Chek Kit at no cost, please visit http://TheBreastDiva.com/ and click on the products section, then the Preferred Customer section.

You can learn more about becoming a Breast Health Consultant at the website!  I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Grooming Tips!

Posted on Friday, November 21, 2008 in Self Improvement

I am a big believer in taking the time to properly groom.  Yes, that means of course, the basics…...deodorant flossing/mouthwash….actually a trade mark of mine is baby powder all over the place…..my husband is forever following me around with a rag to wipe the powder off the black clothes I always am doning….but besides those everyday essentials….there are a few other things that one should keep in mind:

    LADIES:

1  If you have a mustache…...for god sake…..wax it…..no bleach….YOU CAN STILL SEE IT…..did you ever see a girl with some serious lip hair….....when you talk to her it is hard not to stare.

    2.  If you have gray roots…...please dye them….Unless of course, you are allergic to hair dye…

    3.  Makeup….I don’t care how busy you are…..you can take 5 minutes to put on some lipstick and mascara….you  know you will run into an ex-boyfriend if you run out to the store without it….

    3.  Baggy sweatpants and clothes….not attractive….even if your butt is huge…...baggy will make it look bigger…..and you know that ex boyfriend will look hot.

    4.  Pedicures…..OK, if you don’t want to spend the money on a professional one…....cut, file and PAINT YOUR TOENAILS….number one…it makes you happy when you look down at your feet and see a pretty color and number two…..if you wear open toe shoes…..you can spare us all the agony of looking at feet that resemble horse hooves…..

    5.  Same goes for manicures….do you really need for people to think your hands look like feet?

    6.  Bikini area grooming…...get waxed…shave…Nair…..whatever….just don’t look like you have a rat’s nest down there…..Ugh…......

    7.  If you have a big zit on your face and it has a white head…I know you aren’t supposed to pop it, but please do…..yuck.

    Men:

    1.  Back hair…....it has got to go…I don’t know how…..wax, pluck, weed wack…....whatever…just get rid of it.

    2.  Uni-brows…....ditto….....however…....don’t wax the arch of your brow unless you are gay…...

    3.  Toenails…...please keep them short and if God forbid you have a toe nail fungus…..please do not wear flip flops or sandals (you shouldn’t be wearing sandals anyway, they are unflattering and weird)

    4.  Keep your hands well groomed with short nails, and clean under them if you work in dirt…...and for Heaven’s sake NEVER put a pinkie ring on.   Turnoff.

    5.  Comb over’s not allowed…...bald is hip and sexy…....

    6.  Heavy beards..I won’t even talk about your meals that show up in it…..eeeww….mustaches….corny ….a little scruff from a day not shaving is sexy as hell…....

    7.  Nose and ear hair…....I am not even going there…..

    8.   Keep the body hair well groomed….no rat’s nests for you either!!

    9.  Do not wear to much cologne…you will smell like a French Whore.

You all can never say I am not helpful with advice…...I do take my own advice by the way…...case in point….....

My husband, kids, close friends all know…....if God forbid I am ever in a coma state like that poor Terry Schiavo (remember that young lady on the feeding tube and the controversy with her parents and husband)....remember how they were plastering her pix all over the TV with her mouth hanging open….

Well…..they know to make sure I am waxed, plucked, shaved, made up, roots dyed, coifed, teeth brushed, lipsticked, manicured and pedicured…...and always make sure I have a pretty, stylish nightgown on…...

All three of my kids can recite the above with total accuracy, they have strict instructions.

    I know I am nuts….......

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:  Sex appeal is 5 what you’ve got and 50 what people think you’ve got…......Sophia Loren

    Lisa xo

Girls if you think my posts are funny…go to my real blog…it is funnier because I have graphics to go with the stories…I can’t figure out how to put them on here!!
